Chicago rights desk expands territory-by-territory licensing programme

Meridian Press International Publishing has expanded the territory-by-territory licensing programme run from its Chicago, Illinois office.

Licences are prepared by language, territory, term and format rather than as blanket world grants, and reversion dates are negotiated before an approach is made. Authors receive the outreach record, including publishers who declined or did not respond.

The programme covers translation rights, audio rights, serial rights and, where appropriate, screen options handled with the company's Book-to-Screen division.
